Humans of Natworld

Life.. it gives you so many surprises ! It gives you joy and happiness ! Sometimes, It gives you sadness and resentment ..We learn life lessons everyday .. it’s your 24x7 mobile teacher which teaches you lessons without any app or without paying any fees.

The recent Floods that occurred  in Kerala, Karnataka, Nagaland which lost so many lives near and dear ones and loss of property .We either term it as  manmade disaster or a natural disaster whichever is the case in the nations context. Many political parties NGO’s, individual groups people had poured in help.

Help/Aid  poured from all corners of the world- NGOS, Celebrities, individuals were collecting essentials that was the need of the hour and supplying it to the people in the relief camps. Few amongst us who were not in India were trying to  help and share the messages of people in despair through the social media. But the real heroes that stood out were the Collectors of districts in Kerala, the fishermen folk and the military who relentlessly worked hard in helping stranded people and kids. A big salute and hats off to their courage and sacrifice.

We have seen these  images in the media which will be permanently etched in our minds .. at least for a period. Some viewed  it  real, Some chose to grab these images as fake depending on the influence of the people , political parties etc. or their  state of mind. I have read so many posts coming up on Facebook and WhatsApp on Why not to help Kerala and to help other states affected by floods. The thoughts were divided as some extremist believe that since Kerala is a rich state it doesn’t deserve any help , as most of the families have NRI’s sons and daughters taking care of the financial losses during the floods.  Some others have taken to spreading hate on social media,  some people conceived that the natural disaster was holy retribution for allowing women into the Sabarimala temple. As Kerala is home to beef fry hence they should not be helped in any way and bear the brunt for eating a cow and several other communal reasons, they should bear the brunt as the “Gowmatha” has cursed them with this deadly flood. Others encouraged their followers to either only donate to Kerala’s Hindus, or not donate at all since the state is home to Muslims and Christians, is run by a communist government.  Or since any of our family or home is not affected in Kerala ,  why should we help this state.

My question is . Should all of the above, really matter? when a state a nation or a country is in crisis. Should the Help come in, by looking at the financial opulence of the state / nation.

I decided to write after a long gap,  because all these comments and discussions really bothered me as a person.

It’s not  because I  belong to Kerala , or my people who stays in Kerala or my state Kerala  was affected., …..  it’s about Humanity and how humane you can be to extend help to anyone who gets in crisis.

Kerala has shown integrity, Kerala has shown strength, Kerala did not let any political party affect the rescue operations. Kerala is rebuilding and will stand on its feet on its own.

Thank you very much , but we Keralites don’t want any help that’s not from your heart. We do not accept cursed aids. We do not accept negative help. We do not accept selfish political help. To the news reader who commented on Keralites shameless bunch of people he has ever seen, Keep the gibberish thoughts to yourself, which will slowly kill yourself and turn you to an egoistic individual.

We come from God’s own country, and we are more gifted and blessed than you are.

No matter who teaches you about life, you won’t learn the lesson until you go through it own on your own.

To Life we owe our lessons, and the most important being a good human
